Cam Melangton

Cam first caught the "boating bug" as a young Cadet when attending the Culver Military Academy's Naval School where he excelled in sail rigging, boat handling, navigation and racing tactics. Since then, he has spent his entire life on the water, having piloted and owned a wide variety of power and sailing vessels, the most recent being a Tiara 3600 Open Express.

He first experienced the cruising life in his early 20's, serving as crew and then as Captain on a 50' DeFever trawler based in Treasure Cay, Bahamas. During this multi-year cruising adventure he logged more than 300 nights "on the hook" while exploring the Abacos.

"Ever since the Abacos I have been captivated by the cruising lifestyle," recalls Cam. In addition to his Bahamas experience, his pursuit of the next great boating adventure has carried him to the Hawaiian Islands, the West Indies, San Diego, Florida's Gulf Coast, through the Florida Keys and back to Boca Grande, one of his favorite local cruising grounds. His business background is diverse, with more than 23 years managing a boutique sports marketing and advertising agency, where he directed and implemented a wide range of client marketing initiatives for a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies.

Cam is a member of the Florida Yacht Broker's Association and continues to serve in his role as the Harbor Master for a prominent Florida Gulf Coast Yacht Club. This combination of yachting disciplines places him on deck, on the bridge or in the engine room of a wide variety of privately owned yachts from 40' to 80' on a daily basis.

An avid PADI Diver, ASA certified Offshore and Coastal Cruiser, USCG Safe Boater and professional Yacht Broker, Cam's unique background provides his clients with an informative, results-oriented and professional yacht brokerage experience.
