Sailfish Point Tournament

"Anglers wanted for epic sailfishing."

That might be how an ad would read for the upcoming Sailfish Point Yacht Club's annual Invitational Sailfish Tournament.

The Treasure Coast sailfish tournament season's final event will open with its kickoff party and captain's meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the exclusive community's marina and yacht club. The tournament will encompass three days of fishing— Friday through Sunday — with participating teams selecting any two of the three days to compete.

The event has relaxed its format to allow for boats with outboard motors and live bait to be used to catch sailfish. Participating teams will receive free dockage and will be extended invitations for spouses to take a realty tour of Sailfish Point homes Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.

"We're going to have good weather, a great time and epic sailfishing," said Sailfish Point Marina dockmaster Jeff Stukel.
