Tom George Yacht Group’s Post Splash Wrap Up for Progressive’s 2015 Tampa Boat Show

The 2015 Progressive Tampa Boat Show was as busy as ever this year, even with the occasional appearance of rain, and the Tom George Yacht Group had an eventful three days showing off their 15 boats from Hatteras, Marquis, Carver, Edgewater and Cobalt. The boats drew quite a crowd, including some local business-people who came to not only see the boats but to discuss the opportunities they might bring to the Tampa Bay Area.

Tyler Martinolich, Production Manager at Tampa Hillsborough Film and Digital Media Commission stopped by to tour a few different yachts in the hopes of attracting incoming filmmakers with some on-of-a-kind yachts to feature in their films.

“At Film Tampa Bay,” Martinolich said, “we are always seeking out new community partners that offer not only unique locations for filming but product placement as well. Visiting Tom George Yacht Group at the Tampa Boat Show on Friday was a great opportunity for us to see some of their newest models; this allowed us to envision how we can utilize some of these beautiful yachts into upcoming productions. They were also very friendly and knowledgeable, both key factors when considering client recommendations.”

Other notable Tampa business leaders that spent some quality time with Tom George Yacht Group included Port Tampa Bay President and CEO, Paul Anderson; Bea Bare, Sr. Business Development Manager at Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation; and Executive Director of World Trade Center Tampa Bay Karl Kaliebe.

“We had a great turnout this year,” Tom George said. “Both current and potential clients are excited to see not only the new Carver and Marquis Yachts we now have to offer but also the Hatteras, Cobalt and Edgewater brands we currently offer. There are other boat outfits in the Tampa Bay Area that may be bigger than we are, but that does not stop us from providing our clients with the highest quality brands and service needed to send them home with the boat that’s right for them.”
