EdgeWater 248CX Performance & Build

The EdgeWater 248 CX is powered by a standard Yamaha 300 HP four stroke outboard delivering superior durability, reliability, longevity and performance. Maximum available HP is 350, though she’ll easily reach near 50mph speed with the 300 HP engine.

EdgeWater boats set a completely new standard for strength, power and versatility, both inshore and offshore. Years of combined experience from top engineers and craftsmen are built into each and every vessel which is why even the smallest models deliver the performance, safety and reliability usually reserved for much bigger boats.

The 248CX’s proprietary deep-V hull combines a knife like edge with large reverse chines and a running surface designed for rough seas. Closed cell PVC is employed for maximum buoyancy and flotation ensuring that the boat is self-bailing and unsinkable. EdgeWater’s proprietary Single Piece Infusion (SPI) closed molded construction process allows the use of more fiberglass and less resin per square foot than the competition. The result for you is a boat that is three times stronger, as well as lighter than those built with traditional, open molded processes. The result of all of this is a boat that is faster, lighter, safer, stronger, more fuel efficient and completely unsinkable.

The following equipment is standard on the EdgeWater 248CX and optional on much of the competitors in its class:

  • Fiberglass hard top
  • Anchor windlass
  • Freshwater, Vacuflush head with macerator and overboard discharge
  • Bow table
  • Bow filler cushion
  • 28 gallon livewell
  • Prep station with Corian solid surface counter top and sink
  • Watersports tower
  • Raw water washdown
  • Fresh water shower
  • L.E.D. underwater transom lighting

Your aquatic adventures await. Whether exploring Tampa Bay or the navigating the Gulf coast, the EdgeWater 248CX is a most willing and capable partner.
