"Jimmy, I love to tell you buying a boat was a fun and interesting experience from start to finish, it just would not have happened without you- I love the 68 Hatteras!"
"Jimmy, we can't thank you enough for being the fearless leader of our team. Working with you has been a total pleasure. It was so re-assuring to know that you were always in our corner. With so much gratitude"
"Dear Jimmy, thank you so very much for all of your hard work, persistence and diligence in selling our 80' motoryacht. We know it was not easy but you really stepped up to the plate big-time. We are so grateful for all you have done on our behalf. You really are exceptional at what you do so very well. You're a superstar. We thank you."
"Tom and Jimmy, time flies and I have been wanting to formally thank you for the years of service and support. As you know, the 2009 Hatteras MY 60 was a great “boat." From 2012 when you helped us find and sell the boat in 2020, you both were there for us. Yes some of calls from foreign lands were exciting, but you always came though.
As we have closed on the boat at a fair price in short order, it is important that I formally thank you for the superior work. If you ever want to use me as a referral, just give my cell phone.
By the way the Marlow is a wounderful boat. We are looking forward to our first major cruise."
"Great buying experience. Great EdgeWater boat. Great service. 5-star plus rating for Tom George Yacht Group (TGYG)!!
I purchased my EdgeWater, center-console boat from Eric at TGYG in March of 2019. Eric made the buying experience better than any other boat purchase, or car for that matter, I have had over the last 40 years. I truly felt that Eric was as dedicated to me, the buyer, as he was to TGYG as their sales person. He was extremely knowledgeable answering all of my questions prior to purchase, toured me in the boat on the water to demo it, delivered it and spent time educating me on all of the features of this boat. His level of customer service is exceptional. He is quick to respond to my questions since purchase and continues to be my "go to" guy for all things Florida boating. Thanks, Eric.
Jay, their Service Manager, has been similarly helpful to me and my needs. Whether that is picking up and delivering my boat according to my schedule and service need, explaining service requirements and lending a plethora of helpful hints to keep us boating safely and confidently on the waters around Sarasota.
This was a great, first experience with TGYG but it will not be my last. Well done!! If you are looking to buy what they sell, do not hesitate to reach out to TGYG."
"I purchased a new Everglades 243 from TGYG about 8 months ago. The entire process was a pleasure. From sales to service and the finance dept... they answered every question and treated us like we were special even though they sell much bigger boats to other clients. I still get regular text from Ryan Allen, my sales rep, just checking in to see how we're enjoying the boat and if I need anything. These guys know customer service!"
"It was an absolute pleasure dealing with everyone at TGYG. Jimmy Rogers listed my boat and we had a contract within 5 days, actually much faster than expected. This left me with little time to find my new vessel. I found myself torn between the 33 Boston Whaler Outrage and the 335 Everglades CC. Richard Murbach found me the perfect new boat (2019 Everglades) and both of these guys went out of their way to help us make a tough decision pretty easy. My wife and I tested both boats and agreed that the Everglades had a higher quality feel and more solid ride than the Whaler...but price as a bit of an issue. The Whalers were all 2018's (lots of unsold leftovers from last year) which gave them more flexibility on price. Richard and Jimmy not only went to Tom to make things happen, they also got Everglades involved as well. Took delivery of our new 335 Everglades last week! We are confident we made the right choice and know we got a great deal! On a side note, lifts are pretty scarce at the local marinas...they are letting us use the TGYG boat lift at Marker 1 until one becomes available in Dec. Now THAT'S going above and beyond!"
"Jimmy made everything run as smoothly as possible!"
"Wally was the best!"
"Jim and Daryl have been very helpful whenever we have a question about our 2020 Carver C37. We love our new Carver! Thanks again! Captian Dave was also very helpful!"
"We recently purchased an Albemarle 32 with the assistance of Jimmy Rogers. I wanted to drop you a quick note letting you know how great he was to work with. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable, it was great to have him working on our behalf. I know this wasn't a big purchase compared to many you handle but Jimmy made us feel like we were buying one of your new Hatteras yachts!"
"Thank you Jimmy for making this happen!! We truly could not have made this purchase without you. One of the best things about this boat is getting to know you. We really appreciate your knowledge, responsiveness and just how fun you are to deal with. I am sure this will not be our last boat transaction together!!"
"I chose Carver because I thought it was the best boat in its class at the Ft Myers boat show and was competitively priced.
I think that steve Allen is one of a kind. Very sensitive and very knowledgeable of the product. He is a pleasure to deal with. The buying process was very smooth and organized. I am extremely pleased with everything and everyone. The delivery was very exciting, informative, flawless and professional.
We are currently on our first trip. We left yesterday and we are at Legacy Harbour for 4 Days. The boat ran smoothly just as we expected. We are exploring and testing every aspect of the boat. So far so good!! It is an amazing boat.
Thank you for everything."
"Jim George did an excellent job. I have worked with him for years."
"Dusty is a rare find in the luxury yacht/boat sales arena. From the moment I met him at the Ft. Lauderdale boat show to delivery of my boat and all points in between and after, he has redefined what excellence in pre-sale, service and after sale support should be. I've been away from boating for a quarter of a century and his support has been invaluable in not only ensuring that my needs and expectations are met, but in restoring a love of the sport. It's rare that a friendship is formed on the basis of a purchase, but he's easily earned a friend in me and my family. Don't look any further if you're looking for a knowledgeable dealer with integrity willing to earn your lifelong business."
"I have met many sales persons over the years and there is only one that is at the top of my list hitting all 10s, OK 15's! Never owning a boat before we only knew one thing, we wanted a boat and had lots to learn. We met Dusty 2.5 years ago at the Tampa boat show, he stuck out in our minds from the start as an honest as a person gets, he also was genuinely interested in mine and my wife's overall satisfaction regardless of what boat and dealership we worked with, this was obvious because he provided droves of great information that was non model specific and was solely for our desire to become boat owners. we even discussed with him used boat visits we would make that had nothing to do with his sales efforts, again genuine guidance and support, never once making it all about Cobalt. Fast forwarding to the decision. we narrowed our choice down to 2 boats, 27' Sea Ray and 25' Cobalt. After Sea trialing both boats back to back at two dealerships, Marker One and Marine Max there was absolutely no choice to be made any further. We took ownership of our new Cobalt from Marker One on Wednesday. I have never been more impressed with the man behind the job than I am with Dusty, my wife and I consider Dusty a friend and look forward to meeting his wife soon. If you're a new boat owner or not, there is only one guy I will ever recommend working with, that same guy we will work with as long as he's on the job, his name is Dusty. Good luck out there!"
"Dusty has been tremendous through all facets of my sales experience in my purchase of a Cobalt boat from Tom George Yacht Group. From the beginning his follow up and communications were just at the right level. Clearly he has the ability to adjust according to his audience. In the purchase process I felt as if he was trying to negotiate within his organization on my behalf but the best was his post purchase responsiveness. As a novice boater I have called Dusty from the water, on the weekend, etc. and he always takes my call. If he does not have the answer i know he will research and get back to me. All of this being done without any hesitation even though the purchase was made a year prior. I wish Dusty much success in the future."
"Dusty was awesome to work with on my boat purchase. He is very knowledgeable on a wide range of boats, and helped me find the perfect boat that met my requirements. Dusty always responded quickly to any questions I had. Great experience!"
"My experience with Dusty selling an Edgewater boat to me and my wife was 100% positive. I never felt pressured at all. He showed us the boat and told us about its features and advantages over the competition. Two years later and we couldn't be happier with our boat. It's lived up to the expectation Dusty portrayed and we never experienced the buyer's remorse people sometimes feel after a large purchase."
"I have worked with Dusty through his role at Tom George Yacht Group. Dusty is very customer focused. He follows up on all open items to make sure they are closed and can solve things as big as getting a new boat, or a small replacement snap for the boat. He is energetic and knows his industry well."
"Dusty is truly passionate about helping people, personally and professionally. He is driven, enthusiastic, and a true pleasure to work with. Dusty is one of the best networkers I know. When working with Dusty, it's obvious he puts other people's desires before his own. He's friendly, easy to talk with, and a great listener. Dusty has a way of putting people at ease within moments of first meeting him. I'm a huge fan of Dusty Smieja and highly recommend him."
"Jimmy Rogers did an excellent job guiding me through an unfamiliar process. Jimmy has kept in touch with me for almost 5 years before I purchased a boat through him. He earned my business."
"My first experience using a broker to purchase a boat and it was a very good one. Rocky start since the first boat turned out to be a lemon, but Jimmy hung in there and found a wonderful craft and made the purchase a rewarding experience. Thanks Jimmy Rogers! If and/or when I purchase another boat, I will call Jimmy."
"The process was much smoother than I anticipated. Thanks, Jimmy!"
"Jimmy is very professional and a pleasure to deal with."
"Friendly folks who know their products. If you are in the market for a quality boat that will last a long time and fit your lifestyle, this should be your first and only stop!"
"Tom, it was a pleasure working with you through the process of selling our yacht and purchasing a new one. We appreciate your hard work in finding the boat we were looking for within our price range. Your customer service is top of the line. Your staff is very knowledgeable and made it easy to do business with you. Your recommendation for an insurance provider was great. Not only was Frank knowledgeable but his customer service was excellent and he saved us money on the policy. You were on top of every aspect of the sale and trade in throughout the process and I appreciate your ongoing support. Based on my experience I would highly recommend your team."
"Tom, I have wanted to write this letter since 2003 when we began our relationship. As you know, since 2003, we have been involved in five transactions. In each of those successive transactions, my respect for your knowledge and my belief that you have my best interests at heart continues with each transaction. As I have told multiple people, your efforts on my behalf gave me no choice but to continue our relationship. That is, it would be imprudent of me not to use your services. Thank you for all your assistance in the past years."
"We are writing this letter to show our deep appreciation for your knowledge of the boating market and your very sincere concern for the satisfaction of your customers. I have worked with you for over twenty years in the buying and selling of my boats from 27 to 60 feet. In each transaction you showed nothing but the highest value of integrity and professionalism. With each purchase or sale, I put my faith in you and your sales force delivered above and beyond the call of duty. It has been a pleasure working with Rob as a representative of your company. His attention to detail and concern for our every need, both personal and business was exceptional. We have made a lifetime friend. Thank you for making it easy for us!"
"Hi Tom, Can I please say what an absolute pleasure Jimmy has been to deal with, from way back in November 2012 he was such a gentleman & so professional, I have felt totally comfortable with him from day one, As you can imagine it's a little worrying being all the way over here in Australia with such a large purchase, I simply wouldn't have done it without the confidence I have had with Jimmy acting as my broker, I have friends who will be buying boats from the states & let me assure you ,they won't be going anywhere except the Jimmy Rogers & your company, thanks again."
"It was my pleasure in listing YOLO TOO with you and getting such a quick sale! You and your organization are the ultimate in professionalism. I can't rave enough about Jimmy Rogers who I know will be a "super star" for you. Any chance I get, I shall recommend you to all of my boating friends who are looking to sell or buy. Again, my many thanks."
"Jimmy, Tom George Yacht Group offers the utmost quality service. Their knowledge of the industry, the professional quality of their staff and the way they stand by you during the purchasing and commissioning process is excellent. They are always there to give you expert advice whenever you need them. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them."
"Jimmy, I wanted to thank you for the superb job you did in finding us the right boat, at the right price. Our 340 Sundancer is beautiful and runs fantastic. In the 2 months we have owned the boat we have made numerous trips to Caladesi Island, Three Rooker Island, had lunch tied up to a Greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs and had some fun rides. I knew it would be a challenge for you to find us a nice boat at the price we requested but you came through and much quicker than we had hoped. Your continual communication made the process very easy and during negotiations I always felt that you had our best interests in mind. Your recommendations for a surveyor turned out to be perfect, Adrian was first class. In addition the guys at Marine Max in St Pete did a great job on getting the boat looking brand new. When you purchase a boat that has been neglected you hope that you can restore everything and I took your guidance that it was all cosmetic and that you had the people to restore the boat to new. People on the dock mistake it for a much younger boat. I appreciate your ongoing support after the sale with my insurance, hurricane plan, and the cabinet guy at Tarpon Springs Yacht Services was terrific. When I buy another boat it will surely be with you."
"Jimmy, this letter is long overdue, but I certainly wanted to let you know how pleased we were with before, during and after the purchase of our boat. From the first conversation we had on what type of boat would suit our needs, the obstacles we faced in looking for what we wanted due to the fact that we live in Africa several months out of the year, you could not have been more helpful. We thought it would be a long process in finding what we wanted but with your knowledge and hard work, our purchase came together very quickly, and happened strictly by phone calls and emails while we were overseas. What superior service to have the entire purchase and delivery handled while 8000 miles away. When you came to deliver the additional cover for the boat, my wife was so impressed that you actually cared enough to deliver it yourself, put the cover on yourself even and spray off the boat after lifting it out of the water. That is beyond what we would ever have expected. Your thoroughness of finding the boat we wanted, suggesting the marine surveyor, loan representative, insurance agent and even finding us a Captain in our area to help with maintaining the boat while we are aware is unheard of. This purchase would never have happened if it weren't for your hard work. Anytime we know of anyone that is interested in purchasing a boat and when we get our next, we will certainly want to deal strictly with you. This has been one of our most enjoyable purchase experiences and we can't thank you enough for such outstanding service."
"Tom, what a great experience on the purchase of my first real yacht! Jimmy Rogers went way beyond the call to see that everything was done the way it was supposed to be. He is very capable and we are very happy with our purchase."
"Richard went above and beyond to make sure he could accommodate our requests and we were happy with our purchase! Follow up has been great!"
"I wanted to take a few minutes and compliment you and the team at Tom George Yacht Group for your courtesy and hard work in marketing and selling our yacht, M/Y Miss Ruth, a Marlow Explorer. After having the yacht listed with another broker over for 2.5 years we only heard excuses and doom and gloom stories. You and your team had the yacht under contract in one month from the time of listing. Wow what a difference the right yacht brokerage can make and what hard work and communication can get done. Tom George is very lucky to have team members like you and Mark who get the job done without all the bull. Both my wife and I are very thankful to you for all your hard work and Mark for his great photography in showing our beautiful yacht."
"Rob is way better than great. I cannot say enough good things about him. I will tell you a few years ago I had 2,000 plus salespeople and if I still had that job I would do everything I could to get Rob to join me. Rob is a sincere people person, with the highest of values who goes the extra mile even when it's not necessary. Tom is very fortunate to have him on his team."
"I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your team's efforts in selling my 23' Monterey. The professionalism, communication and persistence in a challenging environment, helped make the sale. It was a pleasure to work with Rob who worked hard to make it all happen. I will be sure to recommend Rob and TGYG to any friends that are looking to purchase or sell their boat. Thanks again!"
"Rob, I just wanted to say thanks to you and Tom George Yacht Group for your professionalism in selling our Glacier Bay. It was a pleasure to deal with people that were very knowledgeable about boats in general and our boat in particular. It was well worth your fee to be able to sell our boat so quickly, to the first qualified buyer, after a sea trial. I would highly recommend you and your service to anyone buying or selling a boat of any size."
"Rob, I wanted to take a minute to let you know how much I appreciated your professionalism from start to finish in the purchase of my Boston Whaler boat! You helped educate and direct me throughout the transaction making it a very positive experience. Your patience dealing with a very cautious "new" buyer to the area was very reassuring and continues to be so, which exemplifies your commitment to not only constructing the sale but extensive after sale follow-up. Your saying of having a "buyer-for-life" is genuine and certainly will lead me to consider your services and Tom George Yacht Group for all my future yacht purchases which hopefully will be in the near future!"
"Rob, Dana and I want to thank you so much for the great job selling our 29' Pro-Line. You handled the deal very professionally. I had tried selling it myself with no results. I was very impressed that you kept me updated with the showings and the changing market. I know it wasn't easy with the economy the way it is but you got the job done to my satisfaction. Thanks again and I will let you know when we are ready for our next boat."
Dear Tom, I wanted to write this letter to explain how two of your professional yacht salesmen guided us through the yacht buying process for our first time. It started three years ago when we met Rob Wojciechowski at the Tampa Boat Show, where he was aboard a 57 foot Sea Ray Sedan Bridge. My wife and I just became empty nesters and our goal was to find a yacht before we retired. We recently bought property off the Manatee River in Bradenton, FL that would accommodate up to a 75 foot yacht. The boat we presently owned and love is a 21 foot Master Craft, we live on a lake and enjoyed it with our friends and children. So now where do we begin? Since this was new to us, we first realized a broker is the same as a real estate broker for buying a home. You need to find someone that you believe will have your best interest at heart. Rob was the first broker we met that rainy day in Tampa. He seemed sincere, knowledgeable and wanted to help us along the process. Little did he know it would be a two-year project! He started us looking at 44 foot Sea Rays, then to larger Sea Rays, up to 57 feet. Then we met Mark Karampelas, Rob's partner in crime (by the way Rob is also a Sheriff's Officers)! We were excited about a 59 foot Marquis in Fort Lauderdale. Mark is also a pilot, so we flew to Fort Lauderdale to inspect this yacht. She was a beauty! So, now we need a captain to teach us how to pilot this vessel, by the way the insurance companies will not allow you to purchase insurance if you move from a 21 foot to a 60 foot vessel without a captain. So Rob recommended Captain Jamie Kimball, an experienced captain and a funny guy to boot! We invited Rob and Jamie over to our home to discuss our plans for the 59 foot Marquis. Jamie asked what our experience has been in the vessel, and we explained... our ski boat. I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his head. At that time I started to wonder if we had bitten off more than we could chew? So... we started from scratch. We sat down and evaluated our options. I had the opportunity to drive a boat with IPS drives and I was hooked! Simple to maneuver, a dream to pilot, and it is state of the art technology. Now what size? With Rob's help we decided it should be in the range of 45 to 50 feet. We searched and found the styling of Formula Yachts best for us. They are known in the industry as one of the best hulls because of their racing heritage. Now the next chapter in this saga! We found the size and make, let's go shopping. We found a 2004 Formula in Kentucky. This is when you appreciate having a knowledgeable broker. Rob contacted Formula and found out that the first 10 hulls that were made by Formula were meant for straight drive then modified for the IPS drives. This could cause problems in the future. Then Rob found a beauty in Texas. We put an offer on the boat, but to Rob's experience, we found out the boat had sunk! This was never disclosed to the present owners. Rob found out this information through the exhausting process of contacting Formula on every hull number we were interested in purchasing. Then FINALLY, Rob found a NEW 2009 45 foot Formula in Texas with 40 hours and full warranties that we purchased after two years of first meeting Rob. Tom, I cannot express my appreciation for Rob and Mark enough. I realize that there were others in your office that did not believe I would truly ever buy a boat. But it is because of THEIR Professionalism and persistence that we found the first boat of our dreams. This will be our training boat for the next few years. We have had the boat for six months and have put over 140 hours on her already. Our next will be in the 60 to 70 foot range, and I hope that these fine examples of professional salesmen/broker will be there to take us on another buying journey!
"Mark, I'm amazed at your professionalism and customer focus. You epitomize going above and beyond. Thank you for bringing the table to Sarasota and going to the marina to install it. I know it was a much more difficult task than you expected given the heat, lack of parts, and malfunctioning drill. I'm sorry that it took so much of your time. I went to the boat last night and everything looked super professional. The storage components in the storage area were perfect. Cobalt couldn't do it any better. Angie is thrilled! I will speak very positively of you and TGYG to anyone looking to buy because you guys are exceptional."
"Mark, Just a note to let you know how much we have appreciated and thank you for all that you have done for us in our boat purchase. This is our seventh boat, but the first through a broker. I had no idea what to expect, but I have to say that your service, attention, commitment and dedication to our best interests throughout the process have been extraordinary and above and beyond all expectations. I'm sure that TGYG has several able brokers, but I consider it my lucky day when I called cold and was given to you. Your patience, advice, knowledge and obvious expertise are truly valued and much appreciated. Your attention to the survey and post-survey follow up, confirming the wok, and post-closing follow up at the boat I recognize as extraordinary service and appreciate very much. Again, thank you for all you've done for us, and you can be sure that whenever I have occasion to recommend a yacht broker it will be you.
"Tom, Linda and I want you to know how much we enjoyed working with Mark Karampelas. I have known Mark personally for over twenty-five years. We really appreciate the time and patience he spent getting our 42 foot Carver sold. He was always available for any questions or interested buyers. I have already recommended him to my friends and clients that may want to purchase a new boat."
"After 40 years my wife (Trinna) "at last" said, you can buy a boat!!! My wife and I feel so fortunate to have met Mark Karampelas. The guidance and time Mark spent making our first purchase of a boat, a good experience. Mark has driven us across the state, recommended a hands on boating course, listened to our expectations of boating and recommended the type of boat for us. Mark guided us through the purchasing process by recommending surveyors and all the necessary support people. It would have been an impossibility without him. After the purchase Mark has continued guiding and helping us, teaching us everything we needed to know about operating our new boat named "AT LAST". We are so thankful that we found Mark and the professional team of TGYG. They have made this new experience a pleasure."
"Wally, Barbe and I wanted to thank the Tom George Yacht Group and you in particular for the prompt and professional manner in which you sold our 38 Tiara for us. As you are aware, we had our boat listed for over one year with the local dealer who sells Tiara and we did not receive one offer or showing of our vessel in that period. We feel we lost value during this period and are very unhappy with the way in which we were treated. In three months of listing our boat with you and TGYG, we closed on the sale of our boat and with mixed feelings watched her leave our dock for the last time with her new owners. As a side benefit the new owners were very excited and we are confident they have purchased a very good boat. Wally, we would be pleased for you to use us as a reference for any potential clients of yours and TGYG. As having purchased a boat from you years ago and now selling one with you, when we purchase another boat you are the only person we would consider working with."
"Wally, just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the outstanding service you and the staff at Tom George Yacht Group displayed during the recent sale of our Hatteras and the purchase of our 38 Tiara. I know our time line was short in accomplishing both tasks, however, your hard work and persistence really paid off. I don't believe many other brokers could have handled both transactions in the time frame you did. I also wanted to thank you for your referral concerning marine insurance. Frank was very service oriented, worked quickly and gave us a very competitive rate. We will gladly refer our boating friends to you and the Tom George Yacht Group."
"This is now my second dealing with Wally. He has been awesome both times!"
"I recently purchased a 41' Egg Harbor through your firm and has the pleasure of dealing with Captain Steve Allen. I myself spent over 50 years in the professional field, and have always had the highest esteem for companies and their personnel that conduct themselves at a superior level of professionalism. I would like to take a moment to comment your firm, and especially Steve Allen. It is seldom I have met an individual of Steve's caliber. his knowledge if yachts and his level of professionalism rank right at the very top. He is truly an incredibly valuable asset to the Tom George Firm and I hope he is treated accordingly."
